The increasingly popular projector brand Dangbei touts the Freedo as the best new way to take cinema on the go. It packs the technology to beam a 450-lm 1080p Dolby Audio-enhanced image with InstanPro stabilization into a 3lb package, integrated battery included. The Freedo is now available to order through various channels.

Dangbei seems to have designed its latest projector to look most like the Odense Legodt tumbler found on Amazon, although the 'handle' in this case is in fact a stand developed to give the projector a 165° (-30°-135°) range of motion.

Accordingly, the gadget is all the more free to cast its up-to-180-inch window anywhere. Dangbei has also set it up to show a wide range ("+700,000 movies and shows") of content by making the Freedo its latest Google TV-powered and Netflix-licensed projector.

It is rated to beam them in 1080p, although the OEM claims it can support 4K but only over HDMI. It also has a USB-C port to charge from a power bank at up to 65W once its ~2.5-hour battery is exhausted.

The Freedo also has Dangbei's InstanPro AI to optimize the fit, orientation and focus of its output and adapt it to whatever backdrop it is given.

The new "40 ounce" (or ~3lb) portable projector launched at IFA 2024, but now that CES 2025 is here, its price has been announced at $549 - albeit with an early-bird discount of $110, available via Dangbei or Amazon from now.
