Dangbei Freedo projector with P3 support ensures movie nights in the open air thanks to tripod and internal battery
At IFA 2024, Dangbei is presenting its first portable projector, the Freedo, which has been developed for mobile entertainment on the go. It comes with a 60 Wh battery and can be operated independently of an external power source, e.g. for an outdoor movie night in the garden. A power bank or power station is also not required, although Dangbei has not yet provided any information on battery life. If the battery level drops to zero, the portable projector can be charged via a USB Type-C port - for example, using a power bank.
The manufacturer promises a compact design and low weight for easy transportation for the Dangbei Freedo. The device is also packaged in a shock-resistant and recyclable EPP housing and can be easily taken along with the dust bag. For the first time, Dangbei has also installed a special tripod that allows the Freedo to be tilted by more than 100 degrees so that the projection can be flexibly aligned on uneven terrain. It also enables projection up to the ceiling indoors.
In technical terms, the Dangbei Freedo is a 1080p projector with a picture up to 120 inches in size and 90 percent DCI-P3 coverage. Information on image brightness is not yet available. InstanPro AI Image Setup with autofocus is responsible for image optimization, automatic keystone correction, screen adjustment, and obstacle detection. For sound output, 360-degree speakers with Dolby Audio compatibility are installed, which can also be used as Bluetooth speakers.
Information on the price of the Dangbei Freedo is also not yet available.
