Valerion reveals new VisionMaster Max projector with 15,000:1 contrast ratio
Valerion has unveiled the VisionMaster Max home theater projector. This is one of five models from the AWOL Vision sub-brand, sitting at the top of the range. The DLP projector uses a 0.47-inch DMD chip and is said to have a 15,000:1 contrast ratio and 100% vertical lens shift, which could make it stand out against competitors.
The VisionMaster Max also has Dynamic IRIS technology for deeper colors and enhanced contrast. You can use the device to throw images up to 300 inches (~762 cm) wide from various distances; it offers a 0.9-1.5:1 throw ratio with optical zoom adjustment. The projector covers 110% of the Rec.2020 color gamut, and its RGB triple laser light source delivers up to 3,000 ISO lumens brightness. On top of this, it has a maximum frame rate of 4K@144Hz or 1080p@240Hz.
For gamers, there is a 4ms input lag at 1080p@240Hz, an HDMI 2.1 port, MEMC 4K@120Hz technology and various gaming modes. Other features include IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. The projector uses Google TV OS with popular streaming apps, Chromecast and AirPlay 2. Plus, you can integrate the projector with smart home platforms like Amazon Alexa and Apple Homekit. The Valerion VisionMaster Max projector is expected to crowdfund via Kickstarter shortly and will be shown at IFA 2024, starting September 6th. While pricing has yet to be officially announced, it has been suggested that the model could cost $3,999.
