The BenQ Ace, or AH700ST, golf simulation projector has arrived in the US. The model has a laser light source, Golf Mode and support for multiple aspect ratios. Plus, the company indicates that this model is straightforward to set up with just a few clicks thanks to automation technology.

BenQ has announced the Ace Laser Golf Simulator Projector for the US market. Also known as model AH700ST, the company claims it “almost installs itself” thanks to tools like motorized lens shift, automatic focus and auto screen fit. According to BenQ, the installation process had been an issue for some golfers who lacked experience with projectors.

The Ace’s laser light source delivers up to 4,000 lumens brightness and is said to be IP5X-rated and sealed to reduce maintenance. With a 1080p resolution and a short throw lens with a 0.69~0.83 ratio, you can project images up to 200 inches (~508 cm) wide with various aspect ratios, including 1:1 and 16:9. The projector covers 95% of the Rec.709 color space for vivid colors, and Golf Mode helps to make grass and sand look realistic. Ports include HDMI and USB-C, or you can wirelessly connect via Wi-Fi when you purchase the optional dongle.

BenQ suggests that its model is ideal for use in a garage, with the short throw ratio and zoom tool allowing the projector to be mounted to the ceiling behind you, reducing shadows and ensuring you do not accidentally hit it. You can now pre-order the BenQ Ace Laser Golf Simulator Projector for $1,899, with shipping scheduled to begin in early September. It is unclear whether or when the model will roll out to other countries.
