Loewe launches new We. Beam compact ALPD laser projector
Loewe has launched a new portable laser projector, the We. Beam, which is now available in Europe. The company claims it is the first device of its kind, offering ALPD laser technology despite its small size, measuring 17.5 x 17.5 x 4.8 cm (~6.9 x 6.9 x 1.9 inches) and weighing 0.83 kg (~1.8 lbs).
The We. Beam's laser light source delivers up to 500 ANSI lumens brightness and is expected to last up to 25,000 hours. The projector has a 1080p resolution with support for HDR10, and can throw images up to 120 inches wide, with tools to perfect the picture, such as autofocus, keystone correction and screen alignment tools. The compact model uses Loewe’s os6 operating system, allowing you to stream content from popular apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube, which are downloadable via the NetRange App Store.
You can wirelessly connect via Bluetooth 5.1, and ports on the device include HDMI 2.0 (ARC), USB-C PD, USB-A and an audio jack. Other features include screen mirroring and two integrated 5W speakers supporting Dolby Audio. A silicone ring underneath the projector provides stability when placed on a table, or you can mount it to a tripod. It is worth noting that, despite being marketed as portable, the device is not battery-powered. You can buy the Loewe We. Beam mini projector in Europe for £799/€749.
