Xiaomi releases new version of compact Redmi Projector Lite
Xiaomi has launched a new version of the Redmi Projector Lite. The device was initially launched in China in March in white and gray. Now, the company has released a new green edition in the country.
Besides the color difference, the new version of the Projector Lite appears identical to the original model. The LCD projector has a 1080p resolution and can throw images between 40 and 100 inches (~102 and 250 cm) wide with a 1.2 throw ratio. The light source is said to deliver up to 150 CVIA lumens, though an equivalent measurement for ISO or ANSI lumens is not provided. Other features include a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and a ToF laser sensor for automatic focus and keystone correction. Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity allow you to remotely control the projector via the Xiaomi app and link it with other Mijia smart home products.
According to the product listing, the projector has a built-in 5W speaker, 1+16GB storage and various ports such as HDMI (ARC), USB-A and an audio jack. The model is relatively compact, measuring 113 x 146 x 172.5 mm (~4.4 x 5.7 x 6.8-in) and weighing 1.2 kg (~2.6 lbs). The Xiaomi Redmi Projector Lite Green Edition is currently available in China for the discounted price of 799 yuan (~$112), though it has an RRP of 1,099 yuan (~$153). Whether or when this projector could reach other countries like the UK or the Netherlands remains to be seen.
