TCL unveils new NXTFRAME Smart Google TV with 144Hz VRR

The TCL NXTFRAME smart TV has been revealed in North America. A couple of versions of the model are already on sale, with a Pro variant and accessories coming soon. Features of the 4K QLED Google TV include an up to 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision IQ and support for AMD FreeSync Premium.

TCL has announced the NXTFRAME 4K QLED Smart Google TV for the US market. The new model is the latest art-style TV, following in the footsteps of the popular Samsung The Frame and recently released Hisense S7N CanvasTV.

The NXTFRAME is described as ultra-slim at 1.1 inches thick, or 1.2 inches for the 85" version. Surrounding the display are an off-white frame mount style band and a thin wood effect frame. You can select a picture from the Art Library, display your photos, or use an AI Art feature. On top of this, the screen is matte to reduce reflections. 

The NXTFRAME has a 120Hz/144Hz VRR refresh rate and Motion Rate 480 with MEMC motion smoothing technology. The model uses Google TV, Chromecast or Apple AirPlay 2 and supports Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Home. Gamers can use Game Accelerator 240, Auto Game Mode and AMD FreeSync Premium to optimize their experience. Other features include two built-in 20W speakers and four HDMI ports, including one eARC and support for HDR Ultra, Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos and DTS technologies. Alongside the NXTFRAME is the NXTFRAME Pro, which adds a wireless 3.1.2 soundbar and subwoofer designed in partnership with Bang & Olufsen.

TCL suggests that the 55" and 65" versions of the NXTFRAME 4K QLED Smart Google TV are now on sale in the US for $1,499.99 and $1,999.99, respectively. However, they are still listed as "Coming Soon" on the TCL website and third-party retailers like Best Buy. The other models, including the TCL NXTFRAME Pro TV and stand and feet accessories, are expected to arrive in September; a full price list is below.
