Philips Hue has rolled out a new update for its app, version 5.23.0. Available for iOS and Android, the latest software brings tools for smart light switches, home security devices and improved app navigation.
The first update in the Philips Hue app version 5.23.0 changelog is related to the Go to sleep automation. This tool can adjust the color and brightness of your smart lights to help you unwind before bed. Thanks to the latest release, you can now start or stop this feature from a Hue Dimmer switch or a Hue Smart button. Alongside this is a new search functionality on the Home tab, designed to make finding a particular room, zone, light or scene easier. Finally, a new tool for Hue Secure devices allows you to switch between Arm Away and Arm Home states quickly. The shortcut can be found on the Security Card or the Security Center.
Version 5.23.0 arrives shortly after version 5.22.0, which landed in July with tools for smart security cameras. You can now download the latest version of the Philips Hue app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
