The iConnectHue app for iOS has been updated to version 5.6. Also known as version 5.6.0, the latest software brings several new features to users of this third-party app for Philips Hue devices.
Firstly, iConnectHue now supports the Hue Twilight sleep and wake-up light that was launched earlier this year. The company claims it is the first third-party app to support the smart lamp fully. Plus, it has been suggested that iConnectHue offers more controls than the Philips Hue app, such as the ability to set up to eight actions for a button press.
Another new tool is Colors by Description, providing five suggested colors based on your search term. This tool can be found by selecting the menu (...) in the color picker > "By description". If you are unhappy with your results, you can generate a fresh set using the "Reload" button. Chosen colors can then be set for your lights and saved. New white tones are also included in the update, though these are only available for lights that support both white and colored light.
You can now download iConnectHue 5.6 from the Apple App Store. It is worth noting that these updates are available for members or those who upgraded or purchased the app in 2024.
