Philips Hue Twilight sleep and wake-up light now available
The Philips Hue Twilight sleep and wake-up light has arrived. Leaked images revealed the device earlier this month, though the complete feature set of the smart light was unknown. The new bedside lamp is one of a range of smart light products from the Philips Hue June release, including the Solo lightstrip and new Lightguide bulbs.
Philips Hue says that the Twilight has been designed to work with your circadian rhythms, leaving you more energized for your day. The device offers two light sources, which can be controlled individually, a lamp style light at the front and a backlight with Colorcast technology. The smart light mimics colors from the morning or evening sky, helping you unwind and wake up naturally. You can control the lamp through two customizable built-in buttons, starting the Sunset Go automation or cycling through six light scenes such as Arise and Sleepy. Alternatively, you can adjust the light through the Philips Hue app. Plus, the lamp supports ultra-low dimming, which the company claims is industry-leading at 0.5% brightness.
You can choose between black and white colorways, each with a cork base. However, it is worth noting that the black version will initially be exclusively available via the Philips Hue store. The Philips Hue Twilight sleep and wake-up light is now available for $279.99/€279.99. The product is not yet listed on Amazon, where the brand sells other smart lamps like the Philips Hue Go Smart Portable Dimmable Table Lamp.
