Philips Hue releases new table lamp bases for Lightguide bulbs
The Philips Hue Lightguide bulbs can now be transformed into lamps thanks to a new table lamp base, now on sale in Europe. The product is available in two shapes, cone or dome, and three colors: sage, sand and glossy black.
The Philips Hue table lamp bases for Lightguide bulbs are 3D printed with recycled materials and are described as having a wavy texture and a matte finish. The cone base is 13 cm (~5.1 inches) tall and measures 11.2 cm (~4.4 inches) across at its widest point, while the dome measures 12.2 x 10.7 cm (~4.8 x 4.2 inches). Alongside these table lamp bases, Philips Hue has launched four new Lightguide bulbs, Small Globe, Large Globe, Triangle and Edison, joining the existing Ellipse. The company suggests using the larger Triangle, Ellipse and Large Globe variants for the lamp.
You can now buy the Philips Hue Cone-shaped table lamp for Lightguide bulbs and the Philips Hue Dome-shaped table lamp for Lightguide bulbs for €60.00. Various bundles of the table lamp base and Lightguide bulbs are on offer for €159.99; the larger Lightguide bulbs, better suited to the lamp, cost €99.99, so you do not save any money with the bundle. An alternative accessory for the Lightguide bulb is a pendant cord, launched earlier this year.
