New brighter Philips Hue Pillar spotlights arrive
Philips Hue has launched a refreshed version of the Pillar spotlight, the Pillar double spotlight and the Pillar spotlight extension in Europe. This smart lights have been upgraded alongside other spotlight products such as the Runner, Milliskin and Adore Bathroom models.
The new Pillar spotlights have two improvements over their predecessors thanks to the latest Philips Hue GU10 bulbs. These provide a higher maximum brightness level of 400 lumens, compared to 350 lumens, and a longer lifetime of 25,000 hours rather than 15,000 hours. With White Ambiance, you can set the white color temperature between 2200K and 6500K, and the lighting is dimmable. Bluetooth allows remote controls via the Philips Hue app, or Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands. You can control up to 10 lights simultaneously or up to 50 when you use the Hue Bridge. Plus, the base single and double models come with a dimmer switch.
In EU countries, you can now buy the Philips Hue Pillar spotlight for €89.99, the Philips Hue Pillar double spotlight for €159.99 and the Philips Hue Pillar spotlight extension (no dimmer switch) for €69.99. All products are available in black or white. It is unclear when the model will arrive in the UK or at Amazon storefronts, where you can currently buy the older model for the discounted price of €56.99.
