New Makita RM350D robotic lawn mower arrives for larger gardens
The Makita RM350D robotic lawn mower is on sale in Europe. The model was revealed earlier this year with a relatively basic feature set but is suited to a larger garden, around 3,500m² (~37,700ft²) in size.
Makita suggests this coverage is possible thanks to its fast charging ability, with the lithium-ion battery running for 135 minutes and fully recharging in 40 minutes. The RM350D features older navigation technology than other robot mowers, relying on guide wires to move around your garden. The mower can tackle inclines of up to 26°, offers a 240 mm cutting width, and nine cutting height positions between 20 and 60 mm. There is no mention of an app for controls. Instead, it appears that you need to use the integrated control panel to configure the mower’s settings and start a new job. However, you can set up a mowing schedule to automate the device.
Other features are an anti-theft alarm, automatic docking to recharge and low noise output, making it suitable for homes in built-up areas. The Makita RM350D robotic lawn mower is now available via third-party European dealers for £2,017.62/€2,718.40.
