Mammotion is showcasing several exciting innovations at CES 2025. In addition to the new LUBA mini AWD and YUKA mini compact robotic mowers, the manufacturer is also presenting the new UltraSense AI Vision System with automatic AI mapping of lawns.

Robotic mower manufacturer Mammotion, whose LUBA 2 AWD we reviewed (in German only) last year, is using CES 2025 in Las Vegas to showcase several exciting new products for the gardening season in 2025. In addition to the UltraSense AI Vision System, the manufacturer is also introducing its new LUBA mini AWD and YUKA mini models as well as improved versions of its well-known LUBA 2 AWD and YUKA robotic mowers. According to the manufacturer, pre-orders for Mammotion's CES innovations have just started.

UltraSense AI Vision with automatic mapping

The most significant innovation from Mammotion is its new UltraSense AI Vision System. Thanks to advanced AI technology, it is designed to make lawn care even easier and enables automatic AI mapping. This means that users no longer need to manually guide the mower. Instead, the robotic lawnmower independently explores areas of up to 10,000 square meters and creates virtual maps using intelligent edge detection.

Another advantage is even more reliable performance, even if the GPS signal is weak or absent. Mammotion promises continuous mowing at distances of up to 300 m (984 ft) from the base. Virtual fencing enables the creation of invisible boundaries, while edge trimming is said to be even more precise thanks to enhanced visual positioning. According Mammotion, robotic mowers with the new UltraSense AI Vision System feature recognize over 120 different obstacles such as toys or garden tools. The LUBA 2 AWD has already proved itself in this regard in our tests.

New, compact models: LUBA mini AWD and YUKA mini

Mammotion is introducing two new compact robotic mower series at CES 2025. First up is the new LUBA mini AWD series, which is based on the same all-wheel drive platform as the large LUBA 2 AWD, but is lighter at 15 kg (33 lb). It is designed for gardens up to approximately 1,500 m² (16,145 ft²) and is able to tackle challenging terrain with an optimized 88 W cutting motor, OmniWheel design and 20 cm cutting width.

The YUKA mini series is also new, weighing just 10.6 kg (23 lb) and is ideal for smaller gardens up to approx. 800 m² (8,611 ft²). The model features automatic lawn mapping (including setup within a few minutes) and up to ten mowing zones.

Existing models further improved

Mammotion has also made further improvements to its established LUBA 2 AWD and YUKA models. For the 2025 season, the LUBA 2 AWD series will get an increase in motor power from 45 to 165 W for the two mowing discs as well as extended battery life. It can also detect inclines of up to 38.6 degrees and obstacles of just 3 inches (approx. 7.5 cm). Up to 1,500 m² (16,145 ft²) can be mowed on just one battery charge (four hours).

In addition to UltraSense AI Vision, the YUKA, which can also collect leaves with its optional grass collector, is equipped with a robust five-blade double cutting system and can manage up to 30 customizable mowing zones.
