Reolink recently added the TrackMix WiFi to its range of surveillance cameras. The dual-lens camera allows for both wide-angle viewing as well as close-up shots in 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels), meaning that important details are captured and ensuring that Smart Detection works reliably. This feature allows the camera to distinguish people, vehicles and animals from other objects, reducing the chances of false alerts.
The TrackMix WiFi is a rotating camera that swivels up to 355° and tilts by 90°, which covers large areas without the need for additional cameras. Hybrid zoom up to 6x is advertised. Both color night vision and infrared night vision are available for nighttime recording, with LED spotlights provided for the color night vision. The IR night vision is said to cover a range of up to 30 meters and is of course much more discreet than the colored night vision.
Two-way communication is possible with people in front of the camera, made possible via a built-in microphone and speaker. Both wireless and wired network connectivity are supported, namely via Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet. Local storage of up to 256GB is possible via microSD. Reolink claims that the camera is built to withstand extreme weather conditions, coming with a metal housing designed for outdoor settings. A number of mounting options are also possible, allowing the camera to be placed in all kinds of spots. Lastly, a siren is integrated so that the surveillance camera doubles as an alarm system.
The TrackMix WiFi is now available with an early bird discount of 26% for a total of $125.79. Those looking for a cheaper alternative are advised to take a look at the Imou Security Camera at Amazon.
