A new version of the Philips Hue app is now available for iOS and Android. Version 5.33 is a relatively minor update, with one improvement for the brand’s smart lights. The previous update, version 5.32, arrived in mid-December, when the improved support for multiple Hue Bridges was officially announced, and new All-day scenes arrived in the app.
According to the change log for the Philips Hue app version 5.33, users now have more control over the Scattered mode for gradient lights. In Scattered mode, various colors are dotted along the light in random order. Users could already choose the colors, and can now also select the number of colors used for this gradient lighting effect. This feature could be used on products like the Philips Hue Gradient Signe Table Lamp (curr. $171.81 at Amazon).
You can access this setting via the card for the gradient light. Here, go to the Style icon to amend the number of colors, tap an existing color to remove it or use the plus icon to add another. The Philips Hue app version 5.33 is now available to download from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
