Philips Hue has rolled out a significant update for its app, with version 5.32.0 for iOS and Android. It follows recent updates for the Hue Bridge, which prepared the smart home device for some of the features included in this release.
The change log notes that users can now consolidate multiple Hue Bridges into a single Home. This feature was reported by users after app update version 5.31.0, though it was not officially announced by Philips Hue at the time. It allows you to see all Rooms and Zones in one place and to control more devices simultaneously. You can set this up via a banner found in the Settings tab.
Philips Hue also notes that two new All-day scenes have been added to the app. These allow your smart lights to cycle through your chosen scenes for 24 hours. They can be found in a new category in the scene gallery. Holiday scenes are back for the festive period, found under Winter Holiday in the scene gallery, and are said to have been updated.
Plus, users are granted early access to a new smart home feature, allowing them to connect Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Samsung SmartThings with Hue Secure cameras, like the Secure Floodlight Camera, currently $309.99 at Amazon. This feature means that you can view the live stream from the security camera on connected devices. You can now download the Philips Hue app version 5.32.0 from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
