Signify has announced a new update for the Philips Hue Bridge. Software version 1968096020 brings new features and improvements to the smart home hub. It arrives after an October stability update and a November release, bringing multi-bridge support.
Software version 1968096020 is said to enhance brightness levels of smart lights when you use the Go to sleep automation. Precisely how much the light level has been improved is unclear. In another exciting update, the company confirms the recently rumored All-day scenes. The Golden hours and Nature’s colors 24-hour scenes will join the existing Natural light scene, for dynamic light effects. The release notes state that the Bridge supports this feature, but it remains to be seen when these new scenes will arrive, presumably in an app update.
The change log also notes that there are general reliability and performance updates. Software version 1968096020 is currently rolling out globally to all units of the Philips Hue Bridge (currently $44.98 at Amazon). The company has not clarified when the rollout will be completed, or when the All-day scenes will become available to users of its smart lighting products.
