Last time it was a smart lock that unlocks the door when you look. This year, Lockly is presenting the Vision Prestige Duet Series, which replaces the traditional deadbolt and peephole with "smarter" versions. The new smart deadbolt retains the face unlock feature of last year's Visage, but with an additional 190° camera for streaming 2K video to a screen on the other side of the lock.
Lockly Vision Prestige powers all this upholstery with a rechargeable 10,000mAh battery that the company claims will last up to eight months. It also supports 2.4GHz WiFi natively, eliminating the need for a bridge. And in addition to facial recognition, the Vision Prestige includes fingerprint unlock, keycode access and even NFC options via Apple Home Key.
However, if you're already knee-deep in another smart home ecosystem, these options may fall short. The Vision Prestige is not Matter compatible, although the deadbolt seems to work just fine with Alexa and Google Home. Oddly enough, these integrations do not extend to the doorbell.
But perhaps that is the price of innovation. Lockly has slated the release of its most futuristic smart lock for the fourth quarter of 2025 at a $499 price point - 150 bucks more than the Visage.
Also coming out this fall is the hands-free Lockly Secure Pro powered by Ultra Wideband (UWB) tech. While the Vision Prestige unlocks via facial recognition, the Secure Pro detects the user's intent to enter by communicating with an authorized device, such as a phone or smartwatch. As you approach, the door automatically unlocks in a fully hands-free process.
Lockly says the UWB feature will initially be limited to select Android flagships such as the Google Pixel 9. In the meantime, iOS users will have to rely on NFC with their iPhones or Apple watches via Home Key.
Other unlocking options exist: there is a fingerprint sensor and a touchscreen keypad. For the luddites, the lock also comes with a physical key. Lockly Secure Pro will cost $379.99 at launch.
Lockly's security cameras boast of indoor and outdoor capabilities. The Sightline and Sightline Pro are weatherproof, solar-rechargeable cameras with inbuilt batteries. Both cameras store footage to a microSD card and can send AI alerts via the Lockly app. When used indoors, users can create a virtual floor plan within the Lockly app for streamlined monitoring.
The Sightline Pro is the costlier of the two at an MSRP of $149.99. It has full 360° rotation, motion-tracking and can shoot 4K video. The Sightline on the other hand is fixed and has spotlights to shoot 2K HD video even at night. It costs $69.99.
Neither camera will be available till summer 2024, but you can buy the Blink outdoor cameras for 33% off on Amazon.
