SwitchBot has officially introduced its latest smart home accessory, the Smart Video Doorbell, in other markets, including CA, the UK, and the EU. SwitchBot’s new Smart Video Doorbell, designed to make home entry more secure and accessible, comes with a monitor that consumers can put inside their home. To be more precise, the smart home accessory comes with a 4.3-inch monitor, which can be used to tweak the doorbell’s settings and see who’s at the door.
Plus, the monitor also has a built-in 100 dB ringer and a quick response feature, which further allows the user to respond to visitors instantly. Speaking of resolution, the doorbell offers a maximum of 2K (2304 x 1296 pixels) resolution with a 165° wide-angle view. Furthermore, it features color night vision and AI-powered detection, and according to SwitchBot, it’s capable of identifying motion, people, pets, and vehicles.
The Smart Video Doorbell is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, which is said to offer up to 19 months of battery life on a single charge. However, the battery life of the gadget entirely depends on the user's usage habits, said SwitchBot in its press release. As for charging, there’s a USB-C port. Alternatively, the device can also run on a solar panel. Dimension-wise, the doorbell measures 131 x 65 x 30 mm (51.6 x 25.6 x 11.8 inches) and weighs around 202 grams (7.1 oz).
Moreover, the doorbell also features an Amazon and Alexa integration. Additionally, you can also integrate the smart home accessory with SwitchBot’s broader smart home lineup.
