The Philips Hue Secure Wired video doorbell is now available in North America and Europe. It was rumored earlier this year and unveiled at IFA 2025 alongside the Hue Smart Chime and the new Hue Secure 2K cameras.
The Hue Secure Wired video doorbell has a 2K camera, triggered when motion is detected. You can view the live video feed through the Philips Hue app, with notifications alerting you when you have a visitor. The brand’s Starlight technology provides full color images in low lighting. Plus, the integrated motion sensor can be used to activate smart outdoor lights, like the Impress Wall Light (curr. $175.99 at Amazon). It can also trigger indoor lights to gently flash when the doorbell rings.
Another feature of the Hue Secure Wired video doorbell is two-way voice communication. It can be paired with the brand’s Secure smart chime, which can be placed in the room of your choice. Users can choose from a range of sound alerts, and it can also emit a loud sound to deter an intruder. Through the brand’s app, users can choose their ringtone and volume level, and these can be customized for different times of day.
You can buy the Philips Hue Secure Wired Video Doorbell bundle, which includes the Secure smart chime, for $199.99/€199.99. Customers can also purchase the Secure smart chime separately for $59.99/€59.99. However, the Hue Wired video doorbell is not currently available to purchase as a standalone product; it will retail for $169.99/€169.99. It is worth noting that the “Add to cart” buttons are not working on all product pages, but these buttons do work from the new product page.
