The Philips Hue Bridge Pro is receiving its first software update, version 2071112000. This device was released at IFA 2025, launching as part of a wider range of new smart home products. A similar update, version 1973146020, is also rolling out to the older Hue Bridge (curr. $39.99 at Amazon).
With software versions 2071112000 and 1973146020, the Hue Bridge Pro and Hue Bridge are getting support for an upcoming app feature. In a future update for the Philips Hue smartphone app, users will be able to view more information in the Room view; this currently only shows lights and scenes. Going forward, you will also be able to see switches, sensors, cameras and MotionAware areas in each room.
As usual, Philips advises that software versions 2071112000 and 1973146020 will be pushed to Hue Bridge Pro and Hue Bridge users over the air. It should install automatically, provided you have automatic updates enabled; this feature can be found in the app under Settings > Software update > Automatic update. It remains to be seen precisely when this enhanced Room view will roll out to users in a Philips Hue app update.
