Google has recently introduced the Pixel Watch 4, but not much has changed from the last-gen smartwatch. To be specific, the notable upgrades are in terms of the build, display, charging dock, battery, and GPS. As there aren't any significant changes in terms of hardware, the 2024 wearable is still worth looking into, especially when the smartwatch is on sale.
Speaking of which, the Google Pixel Watch 3 is currently enjoying a notable discount on Amazon. The 41 mm smartwatch with Champagne Gold chassis and Hazel band is currently down to $179.99, which is a $70 price cut from the regular $249.99 price tag.
As for the highlights, not much is different when compared to the latest Watch 4. To be specific, the Pixel Watch 3 has the same design as the new smartwatch. It even features the exact custom quick-swap system for straps, making the newly introduced bands work with the last-gen wearable.
While the display on the Pixel Watch 4 has slimmer bezels and is brighter, the Watch 3's screen is still good for everyday use, thanks to the 2,000 nits max brightness rating. As for the battery life, the new 41 mm smartwatch is rated for up to 48 hours of use, while the last-gen wearable has a rated battery life of up to 36 hours. Of course, in the regular mode with the always-on display feature, the max runtime will drop to 24 hours.
Thanks to Wear OS 6 and Qualcomm W5+ Gen 1, the Pixel Watch 3 should also feel as snappy as the newly released smartwatch. However, it's worth noting that Google's last-gen wearable isn't as repairable as the latest offering. Another thing to note is that the health and fitness features of this 2024 Google smartwatch aren't as advanced as competitors like the Galaxy Watch 7.
