Kospet is now offering a new smartwatch, the Tank M4, for pre-order. The model is advertised as having a wide range of features and is currently available for $180, with a stated retail price of $210. The model could well be a low-cost alternative to Garmin Fenix wearables, but whether the M4 lives up to the claims advertised by Kospet remains to be seen.
According to Kospet, the watch is water-resistant up to a test pressure of 10 ATM and comes with diving functions. These include, for example the display of information on necessary decompression stops. Whether we would actually trust the Kospet Tank M4 with our lives, or at least our health, is something not to be left to chance at this point.
As for the watch itself, it features a 1.96-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 410 x 502 and a maximum brightness of 1,000 cd/m². A GNSS module is installed, which not only allows you to record the distance covered during running sessions, but also offers navigation functions. Maps can be stored on the 32 GB of internal storage and routes can be imported accordingly. An optical sensor for measuring heart rate is on board, and typical smartwatch functions such as sleep monitoring are also included. The battery life is specified as up to 15 days. Lastly, a walkie-talkie function is also available.
