Amazon launches new ultra-affordable video doorbell with 140-degree field of view

Amazon’s smart home brand best known for its affordability in the smart home camera domain, Blink, has launched its very first 2K video doorbell. Interestingly, the brand offers wired as well as battery options for consumers at a competitive price. Speaking more precisely, the former starts at $49.99, while the latter costs $69.99. Both are directly available via Amazon in white and black color options.
Blink packs a decent set of features into its 2K video doorbell. The video doorbell offers users 1920 x 1920p resolution and the company claims that the gadget is capable enough to capture every frame with rich detail and enhanced color. The smart home surveillance device comes with person detection and a 140-degree field of view for views from head to toe.
Nevertheless, the Blink Amazon storefront lists all the specs of the new smart home video doorbell. It has a two-way audio function with noise cancellation, which allows users to enjoy natural conversations with visitors. There’s night vision support as well, which offers quality footage even in low-light conditions. Speaking of the non-wired version, it’s powered by three AA lithium batteries.
Both models are compatible with Alexa, and according to Blink, the gadget can effortlessly survive the rain, dust, and severe weather, thanks to the IP65 water-resistant rating. Other features include real-time monitoring via the Blink companion app, easy-to-install setup, motion alarms, a door chime, and paid cloud video storage.
