Xiaomi IMILAB Smart Video Doorbell with 4 MP camera has real-time alerts and AI human detection
IMILAB is currently crowdfunding its Smart Video Doorbell on Kickstarter. The Xiaomi subsidiary claims that the gadget is the safest and fastest doorbell on the market, with a 0.01 s delay on alerts, making them essentially real-time. A 4 MP camera with a 6P lens, IR night vision and a 150° ultra-wide viewing angle allow you to clearly see who is at the door.
A built-in PIR sensor and AI technology provide accurate human detection and reduce the risk of false alerts, with the ability to set a detection range up to 8 m from the doorbell. Thanks to a two-way HD video calling feature, you can answer the door remotely from a connected smart device. Alternatively, you can pre-set messages when you cannot answer the door.
The gadget is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing you to control the IMILAB Smart Video Doorbell with voice commands. The device is IP66 rated waterproof and works in temperatures from -20 to 50°C (-4 to 122°F). A 5,200 mAh rechargeable battery delivers up to six months of battery life.
You can currently receive the IMILAB Smart Video Doorbell if you pledge US$89 to the Kickstarter campaign. The company will ship globally and is expected to deliver the product in August. After this pre-sale period, the gadget's price will increase to US$139.
