VIOFO A139 Pro is touted as the first ever "real 4K" 3-channel dashcam with Sony STARVIS 2 night vision and HDR
VIOFO's latest A139 Pro, like some of its predecessors, comes in a 3-channel form factor, which means it has back-up camera modules that monitor the rear of the car and the inside of its cabin connected to a 'main' dash-cam body with physical buttons and a lens that can rotate through 300° for a wide field of view.
However, unlike its vanilla QHD forebear, the A139 Pro's front camera is rated for "real" 4K HDR, which, according to VIOFO, means that it genuinely records in this resolution rather than being down-scaled to 2K as in most dash-cams of its tier.
The footage is also enhanced with Night Vision 2.0, conferred by a Sony IMX678 sensor with STARVIS 2 technology. The A139 Pro's in-cabin (or "interior") channel is also augmented with 6 infra-red (or IR) LED lights for round-the-clock surveillance in FHD, while the rear (also FHD) module has Parking Monitoring.
The A139 Pro is wired, with a "super slim coaxial cable and miniature connectors" for potentially streamlined installations, although it is also rated for 5GHz Wi-Fi for "up to 4x faster" footage transfers to a user's mobile device.
Therefore, VIOFO asserts that its new 'true 4K' flagship dash-cam can help keep drivers and passengers safe and protected in everyday road use or possible emergencies.
It is priced at US$399.99 for the full 3-channel version via the OEM's own web-store, although there is a US$30 discount along with the possibility of a free 128GB microSD card as a Black Friday 2022 offer at the moment.
