Nexar launches the beam2 mini LTE dash cam with 4G LTE connectivity
Nexar has launched a new member in the beam2 dash cam lineup, the beam2 mini LTE. The company’s new dash cam is rated to get a resolution of up to 1080p out of its sensor. However, Nexar hasn’t revealed the sensor details. In comparison, the original model, the beam2 (curr. $236 on Amazon), offers up to 2K resolution footage.
The beam2 mini is also packed with a smorgasbord of features, including live parking mode, remote video streaming, 24/7 monitoring, emergency notifications, live GPS tracking, immediate clip sharing, and real-time alerts. Unfortunately, there’s no collision sensor in the Nexar’s new car surveillance system.
The dash cam also features built-in GPS with route tracking. Regardless, there’s Bluetooth low-energy 5.0 and WiFi 5 GHz support for potentially faster data transfer. Nexar eliminates the need for getting a microSD card by integrating 64GB of storage. The brand also offers 128GB and 256GB storage models too. Sadly, there’s no dedicated storage expansion slot to further expand the storage.
Last but not least, you can also control the beam2 mini via Nexar’s Connect companion app. The app further enables several functions, such as multi-camera connectivity, parking mode customizations, remote video streaming, unlimited cloud storage, and content access and sharing. Note that the Nexar Connect app requires a subscription to access all of its features. The subscription will set you back $9.99/month.
The Nexar beam2 mini LTE is now available via Nexar’s official website for $119.95 for the 64GB model. While the 128GB and 256GB models are priced at $145.95 and $179.95, respectively. The retail package includes a dash cam, an OBD kit, and installation tools and clips. Head over to the beam2 mini LTE official product page for more information.
