Viofo has unveiled a new budget-friendly dash cam, the A119M Pro, in the global market. As for price, the Viofo A119M Pro is priced at $189.99. Interestingly, the newly launched dash cam is also part of Viofo’s Holiday sale. This means consumers can now buy the A119M Pro for $139 rather than the list price of $189.99 via Amazon.
Speaking of the image sensor, Viofo has incorporated a Sony IMX678 1/1.8” 8 MP camera based on Sony Starvis 2 sensor tech into the A119M Pro. The single-channel camera is rated to offer a resolution of up to 4K 30 fps via the front camera. According to the company, the sensor is touted to capture lifelike clarity and legible details.
There’s support for night vision, which should help capture license plates and other important details clearly even in low-light conditions, according to Viofo. Furthermore, the dash cam comes with hands-free voice control support in four languages (English, Chinese, Russian, and Japanese). On top of that, the Wi-Fi 6 connectivity offers faster data transfer speeds up to 30 MB/s.
The rest of the highlights include HDR vision, GPS tracking, 24/7 parking mode, loop recording, auto emergency lock, time-lapse recording, auto event detection, and Bluetooth remote control for quick access to functions. Dimensionally, it’s quite compact, measuring 1.81 x 1.86 x 2.94 inches (45.9 x 47.2 x 74.6 mm).
Unlike the Redtiger F77 (curr. at $237.47 on Amazon) dash cam, it lacks built-in storage. However, there’s a dedicated storage expansion slot, which further allows you to expand the storage up to 512 GB. Moreover, you can also control the car surveillance system via Viofo’s companion app and also further use it for downloading the recorded video footage.
