The Chinese dash-cam manufacturer, Redtiger, has expanded its F-series portfolio by launching an all-new F17 Elite dash cam in the US market. Redtiger’s F17 Elite dash cam is advertised as the first product of its kind that provides colorful night recording both outside and inside the vehicle, thanks to its full-color night vision.
The F17 Elite dash cam ships with a total of three cameras (front, cabin, and rear), which offers a 360º view of its surroundings. The front and rear cameras are equipped with a Sony IMX678 and Sony IMX675 image sensor based on Sony’s Starvis 2 technology, and they’re rated to get a resolution of up to 4K/30fps from the front and 2.5K/30fps via the rear, respectively. While you’ll get a Sony IMX307 image sensor for the cabin that offers 1080p/30fps resolution. However, it doesn’t come with Sony Starvis 2; instead, Redtiger offers only Sony Starvis technology.
The dash cam also features a 3-inch IPS touchscreen display, which allows users to control the dash cam directly from the screen. Plus, users can also switch the view between the front and rear view camera directly via touchscreen. There’s also a split-screen mode feature available, meaning users can also view both cameras simultaneously.
Redtiger’s new car surveillance system also features built-in GPS with route tracking. Furthermore, you can also control the F17 Elite via Redtiger’s companion app and also further use it to share live location and download the video footage. Alternatively, you can also control the dash cam via voice command. Other features include 24/7 time-lapse recording, real-time voice alerts, G-sensor active recording, WiFi-6, collision sensing, dual HDR, and infinite loop recording. Nevertheless, it also has a dedicated storage expansion slot, allowing you to expand the storage up to 1 TB.
Currently, the Redtiger F17 Elite dash cam is available via Redtiger’s official website for $359.99 with a free 128 GB SD card and parking safety hardware kit. Head over to the F17 Elite official product page for more information.
