70mai has expanded its dash cam portfolio by introducing a new 4K T800 dash cam in Europe and North America. Advertised as the industry's first three-channel HDR dash cam, the 4K T800 features a Sony IMX678 sensor based on Sony’s latest Starvis 2 technology with 146° FOV. This is the same sensor found on its 4K Omni 360° rotating dash cam, which was announced earlier this year.
The dash cam is rated to get a resolution of up to 4k/30 fps, and according to 70mai, it can capture every crucial detail like license plates and road signs, even in low-light conditions. The company has incorporated its in-house night owl vision technology into the 4K T800, which is said to offer superior nighttime clarity while reducing noise, balancing exposure, and improving glare control.
Besides a 4k front camera, the dash cam also comes with a Sony IMX678 rear sensor and a 1080p cabin camera, which capture footage up to 4k/30 fps and 1080/30 fps, respectively. Furthermore, all three cameras support HDR recording and come with 70mai Lumi Vision that ensures clear visibility around the vehicle even in near-total darkness, said 70mai in its press release. The car surveillance accessory has a built-in super-sensing ADAS that provides constant vigilance and can detect surroundings and issue real-time voice alerts.
Other highlights include GPS support, multi-language voice control, a smart parking guardian mode, AI motion detection, time-lapse recording, 24-hour parking surveillance, buffered emergency recording (3 minutes pre-collision and 30 seconds post-impact), and WiFi 6 5 GHz connectivity for high-speed transfers up to 40 MB/s. Moreover, it also comes with a 3-inch IPS LCD display and features app-based controls.
The 70mai 4K T800 dash cam is priced at $399 and comes in a single black colorway. As a part of the launch of the offer, the company is also offering a 15% discount on its original MSRP for a limited time, meaning consumers can buy the dash cam for just $339 via 70mai’s online store and Amazon.
