Antigravity, a new drone brand developed in collaboration with Insta360, has now presented its first product after offering a teaser at the end of last month. For context, the official unveiling arrives after footage of the drone leaked online, which showcased the device with a translucent shell.
Based on today's announcement, the Antigravity A1 will match the DJI Mini 4 Pro (curr. $1,008 on Amazon) and the rumoured Mini 5 Pro with a more conventional white or beige shell instead. Nonetheless, the Antigravity A1 is said to be the first drone capable of capturing 8K and 360-degree footage simultaneously via its dual-lens camera system.
Theoretically, this camera configuration allows the drone to capture its environment without blind spots, although this is only possible with image stitching technology. Regardless, Insta360 has confirmed that the A1 can be paired with Antigravity Vision first-person view (FPV) goggles, images of which we have embedded below.
Apparently, these FPV goggles deliver real-time 360-degree footage while also supporting head tracking. Meanwhile, Insta360 has created a Grip controller too that allows a user to fly the A1 in one direction but concentrate on looking the other way as needed. Moreover, the Antigravity A1 will weigh 249 grams to meet C0 drone classification requirements. Unfortunately, the Antigravity A1 will not be available until January 2026, which is after DJI is expected to launch the Mini 5 Pro.
