It seems that DJI has more than just Insta360 looking to muscle in on its various drone offerings. To recap, Insta360 recently showcased what subsequent leaks suggest will be a Mini 4 Pro and Mini 5 Pro rival. Now, it seems that HoverAir is preparing an alternative to the DJI Neo (curr. $199 on Amazon).
In the last few days, HoverAir has shared several cryptic teasers showing a drone and an official accessory. As Igor Bogdanov notes, the latter closely resembles the RC Track that DJI is rumoured to have now cancelled. By contrast, it looks like HoverAir's compact remote controller will be launching simultaneously alongside its next drone.
Seemingly, the new drone will launch as the HoverAir Aqua on account of its waterproofing. Based on HoverAir's recent Instagram post, the Aqua can float on water without incurring any damage. The images indicate that the drone can shoot vertically too, although it remains to be seen how it will take off from water. Surprisingly, HoverAir has integrated a small display on the drone itself, which functions as a viewfinder at first glance. HoverAir appears set on revealing the Aqua in full later this month.
