Interesting things are happening in the world of drones. DJI is poaching on Insta360's traditional territory with its soon-to-be-launched and apparently quite affordable Osmo 360, but the 360-degree camera pros now also appear to be going on the offensive against DJI with two anti-gravity drones. A recent leak has provided early footage of what appears to be Insta360's first move against DJI. "Antigravity" is the name of the drone duo, which is apparently planned as a direct response to the upcoming DJI Mini 5 Pro, DJI Flip and DJI Neo.
Specs or further details on these first Insta360 drones are not yet available, apart from the fairly clear view of the black Flip/Neo-like Insta360 drone in one of the pictures below. The DJI Mini alternative remains quite well concealed behind a privacy screen, although the design with four fold-out propeller arms is clearly similar to the usual DJI mini drones.
It is also unclear just how heavy the two aircraft will be, but we assume they will be classic camera drones weighing under 250 grams. Whether the designation “Antigravity” is just an internal code name or a final marketing term also remains unclear for the time being. Unfortunately, we also have no information on a launch date, as only these images have been leaked, so it may be some time before the first Insta360 drones officially take flight.
