DJI has just started teasing its first 360-degree action camera that will serve as a direct rival to the popular Insta360 X5. However, the Osmo 360 is unlikely to be DJI's latest release this summer, let alone the rest of 2025.
Based on recent leaks and rumours, the company will be unveiling the Osmo Nano, Osmo Action 6 and the Mic 3 wireless microphone soon too. Now, it seems that a new Neo drone and a next-generation Osmo Mobile smartphone camera gimbal can be added to the list of upcoming DJI devices.
For context, the Neo 2 appeared in a video alongside the rumoured Avata 3 in the spring. Now, the Federal Communications (FCC) has certified the Neo 2 for sale in the US with an 11.6 Wh (7.16V/1,606 mAh) battery. In other words, the Neo 2 should have about a 10.7% larger battery than DJI's existing compact drone (curr. $289 on Amazon). Whether that increased battery capacity translates into longer runtimes than the 18 minutes for which the DJI Neo is rated remains to be seen at this stage.
Meanwhile, the FCC has also been spotted certifying the Osmo Mobile 8. While specifications remain unknown for now, the Osmo Mobile 8 appears set to launch less than a year after DJI released the Osmo Mobile 7 and Osmo Mobile 7P simultaneously. Unfortunately, pricing for the Neo 2 and Osmo Mobile 8 have not surfaced online yet.
