According to recent reports, the official launch of DJI's first 360-degree action camera is right around the corner. Specifically, the company is now expected to unveil the Osmo 360 on July 29 alongside its Mic 3 wireless microphone. To underline that, Igor Bogdanov has now published a fresh image of DJI's long-awaited action camera, which we have embedded below.
Based on recent leaks, the image shows not only the Osmo 360 itself but also DJI's Battery Extension Bar. When paired, the camera should last up to 180 minutes when shooting 8K and 30 FPS footage, which is said to drop to 100 minutes when the battery bar is removed. Incidentally, the accessory can charge the Osmo 360 wireless and integrates a 1/4-inch threaded mount that can hold accessories in place magnetically, too.
Meanwhile, the Osmo 360 itself will directly challenge the Insta360 X5 (curr. $549.99 on Amazon) and the upcoming GoPro Max 2. Presumably, full specifications and pricing for both unreleased action cameras will arrive in the next week or so. In the case of the Osmo 360, we would expect DJI to officially tease the device by July 22 to hit a July 29 release date.
