Insta360 has announced that it will retain its "Strategic Imaging Partnership" with Leica Camera AG for at least 1 more product cycle today (March 12, 2025), thereby allowing the former to keep releasing action cameras with the branding of the latter throughout the year.
Neither of the collaborators have yet to confirm exactly which products the agreement will cover, although they will apparently further Insta360's "mission to redefine what's possible in action and 360° imaging".
Therefore, they are likely to include the next generation of the OEM's X line of dual-camera accessories that support the production of fully immersive content as well as the successor to the Ace Pro 2, a more traditional action-cam equipped with a SUPER-SUMMARIT-A lens for its 1/1.3-inch sensor developed by Leica for "industry-leading low-light performance, superior dynamic range, and refined image processing".
Other Insta360 x Leica hardware could include an addition to the higher-end, modular One R series in the future.
They are also likely to debut with high-end specs such as 8K recording, advanced stabilization and (of course) more AI in the near future.
