Insta360 refreshes X4 360-degree action camera with new BMW Motorrad Edition

Insta360 has partnered with BMW Motorrad to present a new Special Edition of the brand's current flagship 8K dual-lensed camera. The event marks the release of a new X4 feature.

As the name suggests, Dash Cam allows the user to loop footage without taxing the camera's SD card. As such, it might be useful for X4 owners who are also motorcycle enthusiasts: potentially useful, especially as the device has its own rear-facing display. 

The Motorrad Edition also debuts Exclusive Stats Dashboard, a new setting rated that superimposes a new, BMW-branded and inspired, virtual heads-up display on the X4's recordings in the Insta360 app, thereby making it look more like a racing game play-through.    

The Motorrad Edition is now available through Insta360 for $519.99, whereas the camera's Standard Edition is currently $499.99 on Amazon.

Then again, the new version does come with a carrying bag and hard case with the same BMW logo as well as 2 lens-guards.
