iQoo has launched its latest high-end smartphone, the iQoo 13 in China. The highlight of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset which brings a major performance boost compared to the previous generation. Additionally, the phone also brings gaming-oriented features.
Design
At first glance, the iQoo 13 looks quite similar to its predecessor. However, the company has done some polishing. A new design element has been introduced which the company calls “Monster Halo.” It is a customizable light effect system surrounding the camera module. The lighting system also adapts according to different gaming scenarios. With a total of 72 different effects, users have the option to give their phone a unique look.
The phone comes in four distinctive colorways including Legend Edition (white), Track Edition (black), Isle of Man (green), and Nardo Gray. The Track Edition has a thickness of 7.9mm and weighs 207g. While the other options have a thickness of 8.13mm and weigh 213g. The iQoo 13 comes with an IP69+IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Display
The iQoo 13 features a 6.82-inch LTPO panel from BOE. It has a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels and 1800nits global peak brightness. The display also features a 144Hz high refresh rate. Additionally, it supports 1.07 billion colors, P3 color gamut and HDR content.
Camera
The smartphone features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens. On the front, there is a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
Performance
The main highlight of the smartphone is its chipset. It is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The flagship chipset brings big improvements from the last generation, which will be welcomed by gamers and heavy users. In AnTuTu benchmarks, the smartphone scores over 3.15 million, as revealed by iQoo.
Additionally, the phone also features iQoo’s Q2 gaming chip for an enhanced gaming experience. Thanks to the Q2 chip, the phone supports “VAA Anti-Flicker" technology that will help reduce flickering and offer a smooth gaming experience. The company also says that the chip supports 2K PC-grade resolution scaling. The iQoo 13 comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. To keep the smartphone cool during extensive use, there is a 7K dual-drive heat sink to dissipate heat.
Battery and additional highlights
The iQoo 13 brings a big 6,150mAh battery capacity with 120W wired fast charging support. The company claims that the phone can charge fully in just 30 minutes. However, it lacks wireless charging support.
The smartphone also features an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for security purposes. In the software department, the iQoo 13 ships with OriginOS 15 based on the Android 15 operating system. The smartphone supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The iQoo 13 is now available to purchase in China. However, the global release date is not yet confirmed.
