There are those who might not welcome the arrival of the iQoo 13 to Indian shores, and those people might work in that country's division of rival brand Realme. The 13 has made it to its latest market with a vastly upgraded rated capacity of 6,000mAh, compared to 5,800mAh in its Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered rival the GT 7 Pro.
Realme's latest flagship smartphone might still be the only one of its specs with a display from Samsung; however, the iQoo 13's screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate while the 7 Pro goes with the more standard 120Hz spec.
iQoo also hypes its new Everest Display as having the latest and greatest in "Ultra Eyecare" LTPO AMOLED technology. The 13 also stands out with a ring of Monster Halo RGBs that highlight its all-50MP camera hump.
It integrates a Sony IMX921 with Vivo Color Science (VCS) True Color technology as a main shooter. The 13's" G.O.A.T Experience" chassis has a glass rear panel in BMW-inspired Legend White and Nardo Gray held and a flat metallic mid-frame of just 81.3mm in thickness, yet has qualified for an IP68/69 rating.
The brand has unleashed its latest Funtouch OS 15 (based on Android 15 with 4 years of updates and 5 years of security patch upgrades) flagship at 54,999 INR (~$649) for a 12GB RAM/256GB base model or 59,999 INR (~$708) for its 16GB/512GB top-end SKU global launch, although it can be ordered with instant bank rebates of up to INR 3,000 (~$36) on its December 5, 2024 release via Amazon or iQoo online.
Meanwhile, its predecessor remains at a starting price of INR 52,999 in the same country.
