iQoo 12: Global version of ex-flagship smartphone upgrades to Android 15

Vivo's performance smartphone brand iQoo might have a new flagship that could go international soon. Nevertheless, its predecessor has not been completely left behind with a timely enough stable upgrade to Android 15.

The software update is compatible with the version of the iQoo 12 that now starts at INR 52,999 (~$629) on Amazon. Known as PD2307CF_EX_A_15.1.9.1.W20, the firmware is for a new version of Funtouch OS.

It comes with new wallpapers for the 12's high refresh rate display, large folder widgets for its homescreen and a new "Origin" animation for what should be a smoother system UI.

Funtouch OS 15 is also the first version of the 12's software that supports Link to Windows.

Finally, iQoo has been relatively light on the AI feature drops, although those that are included might be the most welcome. They include the brand's version of Magic Eraser for photos as well as Circle to Search and real-time transcriptions.
