OnePlus 13 posts impressive sales numbers before anticipated global release
The OnePlus 13 has only just arrived, having been presented on November 1. To recap, the OnePlus 13 is one of the first smartphones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is expected to underpin other flagships like the Galaxy S25 Ultra soon enough.
OnePlus has attempted to distinguish its latest smartphone from its peers in several areas, though. For example, it has equipped the OnePlus 13 with a 6,000 mAh Silicon Carbon (Si/C) battery, which represents an 11% capacity increase over last year's OnePlus 12 (curr. $749.99 on Amazon). Moreover, the OnePlus 13 is IP69 certified, has a 4,500-nit AMOLED display and is packed with a set of high-end cameras.
Seemingly, these features and others have already proven popular in China, where the OnePlus 13 is only available to purchase officially. According to OnePlus China's president Lie Jie, initial sales topped 100,000 units within 30 minutes of opening pre-orders.
However, it remains to be seen whether the early popularity will translate into global sales when the OnePlus 13 reaches international audiences. Unfortunately, OnePlus still has not confirmed when that will occur. In the meantime, one can already import the OnePlus 13 for as little as $799, full details of which we have covered separately.
