Realme names first smartphone to get Android 15 beta worldwide
We found the GT 6 to be a smartphone that slightly failed its 8s Gen 3-powered, 6,000-nit peak brightness hype in our testing. Now, its owners can apply to be one of the first to find out if Android 15 will make it any better.
Realme has just announced an official Early Access program for its internationally-available smartphones, and GT 6 (currently starting at INR 38,999 (~$462) on Amazon.in) owners are first on its list.
Realme UI 6.0 Beta 1 is also rated to bring an improved Dynamic Island-style experience with real-time Live Alerts for some apps to the GT 6. The new Beta is also rated to enable “extensive” lockscreen, always-on display and homescreen customization options compared to Realme UI 5.
It is also generally touted to improve system stability and performance in a way similar to OnePlus’ Trinity Engine tweaks.
Then again, and ironically enough, Realme advises potential new Early Access program members of the increased risk of bugs and data loss should they install the new Beta on their GT 6.
