Realme GT 7 Pro confirmed as first Snapdragon 8 Elite phone to launch outside China
Realme has officially unrolled the curtains on the GT 7 Pro. It's a new Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship that comes with a couple of nifty features. As we detailed in our launch coverage, one of those features is a dedicated underwater photography mode, allowing the phone to act like an action camera.
Beyond that, the other aspects of the Realme GT 7 Pro make it a proper successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered GT 5 Pro. While the other Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphones are yet to be confirmed for markets outside China, Realme has now announced that its new flagship will make an Indian debut soon.
More specifically, the GT 7 Pro will launch in India on November 26, making it the first Snapdragon 8 Elite phone to step outside China. Realme has previously shared that it wants to make this phone the most widely available device with the next-gen Qualcomm SoC. The company also hinted about an imminent European launch.
Getting back to the smartphone itself, besides the new flagship SoC, it brings a bright display. It also has a relatively large battery and a good number of AI features are baked into the Realme UI 6.0. The Chinese starting launch price is around $507, and considering the predecessor was one of the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices, the GT 7 Pro could launch internationally with an attractive price tag.
