Realme GT 7 Pro launches as new Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship with underwater photography mode
The Realme GT 7 Pro is now official in China, and it's rivaling the other Snapdragon 8 Elite flagships with some nifty features. One of them is a dedicated underwater photography mode. This allows the phone to act like an action camera, letting you capture underwater scenes without additional camera equipment.
As for the camera setup, the GT 7 Pro has a triple-camera configuration on the back. Among them is a 50 MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor, which features an f/1.8 aperture and has OIS. It's accompanied by an 8 MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide and a 50 MP Sony IMX882 telephoto sensor with OIS.
Realme GT 7 Pro's underwater photography mode gets further backed up by IP68 and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance. Beyond the camera, this new flagship phone comes with a large 6,500 mAh battery with support for 120W SuperVOOC fast charging (140W Anker 737 power bank curr. $109.99 on Amazon).
It also features a bright screen on the front, which is 6.78-inch in size and has a peak brightness rating of 6,000 nits. The display sports a 16 MP selfie shooter that's housed in a centered punch hole.
Software-wise, the Realme GT 7 Pro runs on Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0. Like the competitors, there are a good number of AI features, with the Game Super Frame and Game Super Resolution being the highlights. These two aim to improve the gaming experience by enhancing the visuals.
Other highlights include an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, 11,480 mm2 VC cooling, and support for HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision. When it comes to the price, the GT 7 Pro starts at CNY 3,599 (around $507.42) in China. The top-end model with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage has a launch price tag of CNY 4,799 (about $679.60). It's available in Galaxy Grey, Mars Orange, and White colorways. Realme has yet to share details on global availability and pricing.
