New Roborock app update brings improvements for robot vacuum users

Roborock has recently updated its iOS app to version 4.40.02. The latest software has been rolled out worldwide, bringing several enhancements to the company’s range of intelligent robot vacuum cleaners.

The change log for version 4.40.02 states that it is now faster to set up a Roborock robot vacuum, with a smaller memory footprint and general performance improvements. Plus, the company indicates that the network connection process is more straightforward. For older models released between 2019 and 2022, Roborock says that the app is optimized for a “better operational experience”, though it does not provide further details. This affects users of models like the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra robot vacuum (curr. $759.99 for the Renewed model at Amazon).

On top of this, for all models, 3D map visuals and the map homepage have been updated for a simpler overview and to make editing easier. The full release notes for can be found below. The Roborock app for Android remains on version 4.38.04; it is unclear when these feature improvements will be available for these users.
