The Osotek GM101 robotic lawn mower has arrived in Europe. This is a relatively cheap model which requires you to lay a boundary wire for navigation. Smart features include app-based remote controls, a rain detection sensor and automatic recharging at the docking station as needed.

Osotek, a company known for its vacuum cleaners, has launched the GM101 robotic lawn mower in Europe. This is a cheaper model, with a more basic feature set to match the price. For example, the robot requires a perimeter wire to navigate your lawn.

The GM101 is suited to lawns up to 300 m² (~3,230 ft²) and can tackle slopes up to 35°. The model is said to offer near-edge cutting technology, ensuring that as much of the grass near the border as possible is clipped. Thanks to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, you can remotely control the mower via the accompanying app, where you can adjust settings like the cutting height; this can be set at 10mm increments between 20 and 60mm. Built-in sensors help the robot detect and avoid obstacles or steep slopes, and a rain sensor intelligently pauses mowing to avoid damaging your lawn.

Plus, the model will automatically return to its docking station to recharge as needed, with a full charge taking a little over an hour. You can now buy the Osotek GM101 robotic lawn mower in European countries like the Netherlands, France and Germany for €599.99. It is unclear whether or when the product could launch in other markets like the US or the UK.
