Husqvarna announces three new wireless robot lawn mowers with night vision
A trio of new Husqvarna commercial robot lawn mowers are on the way: the Automower 580L EPOS, the Automower 580 EPOS and the Automower 560 EPOS. All three models feature the brand’s Exact Positioning Operating System (EPOS), removing the need for a boundary wire.
The Automower 580L EPOS is designed for golf courses, covering an area of up to 16,000 m² (~4 acres) in two days. The product has an 80W cutting motor, can handle 45% slopes, and has an adjustable cutting height between 10 and 50 mm (0.4 and 2 inches). The Automower 580 EPOS is designed for sports fields, with the same 48-hour cutting area and 80W motor as the 580L EPOS. However, it is suited to longer grass, with the cutting height adjustable between 20 and 60 mm (0.8 and 2.4 inches), and comes with mowing patterns. The Automower 560 EPOS covers a smaller area of 12,000 m² (~3 acres) in 48 hours, though it is better suited to hilly terrain, tackling inclines of up to 50%. This model has a 40W cutting motor and the same adjustable cutting height as the 580 EPOS.
All three versions offer app-based controls and a remote start function. Plus, Husqvarna suggests that these mowers are ‘future-proof’ thanks to AI capabilities. In the future, the models will be compatible with accessories like a solar panel charger and night vision camera with obstacle avoidance. The Husqvarna Automower 580L EPOS, Automower 580 EPOS and Automower 560 EPOS are expected to launch in March 2025, with pricing yet to be announced.
