A rumor indicates that Philips Hue is working on an AI Playground. This is expected to bring AI-generated scene suggestions to the brand’s smart lighting app. However, a seemingly more advanced feature is already available for customers who purchase the iConnectHue app, a tool named Magic Scenes.

Philips Hue is rumored to be working on a new AI-suggested scenes tool. The feature is expected to be available for users of the brand’s smart lights via the Philips Hue app, though the launch date remains unknown.

According to a report by HueBlog, an unnamed source has confirmed that Philips Hue is developing an AI Playground which uses text prompts to suggest lighting scenes. The examples provided include “Create a scene for a children’s birthday party” and “Create a scene for a cosy breakfast”. It appears that the first iteration of the tool will only be able to recommend existing scenes. It is unclear whether true AI-generated scenes could arrive for Philips Hue smart lights.

Such a feature is already available for various Govee products like the Neon Rope Light 2 (curr. $59.99 at Amazon), which launched earlier this year. The Govee AI Lighting Bot allows you to enter text, voice, and image prompts to generate new light effects. While we wait for this new AI Philips Hue tool to arrive, users could consider purchasing the iConnectHue app, which offers AI-generated Magic Scenes. This feature uses text commands to create customized lighting colors, with an accompanying description explaining each element (example below).
