Xgimi launches new Horizon S Max 4K projector with Dual Light 2.0
Xgimi has launched the Horizon S Max home theater projector worldwide. The DLP model has a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution, throwing images up to 200 inches (~508 cm) wide with a 1.2:1 throw ratio.
With Dual Light 2.0, combining tri-color laser and LED light sources, the Horizon S Max is said to offer up to 3,100 ISO lumens brightness; the light sources are expected to last for up to 20,000 hours. According to Xgimi, the projector covers 110% of the BT.2020 color gamut and delivers 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast. Other features include support for Imax Enhanced, Dolby Vision and HDR10. The model has a built-in stand which can rotate 360° and tilt up to 135°. Plus, you can quickly perfect the image thanks to a range of tools like autofocus, wall color adaption and automatic keystone correction.
The Xgimi projector uses Android TV 11.0 providing access to popular apps like Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. Built-in 24W speakers from Harman Kardon deliver a surround sound experience and are compatible with DTS HD and Dolby Audio. It is worth noting that the port selection is relatively limited, with a single HDMI eARC and two USB-A. You can buy the Xgimi Horizon S Max projector for $1,899/£1,699/€1,999.
